Organizational Changes in College of Health and Human Services

Categories: Faculty/Staff

Earlier this year, the College of Health and Human Services shared news that the College’s application to transition to accreditation as a school of public health had been accepted by the Council on Education for Public Health. As part of the self-study phase in the accreditation process, some organizational changes have been made. Effective July 1, 2024, the Department of Public Health Sciences will become two academic units — the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health and the Department of Health Management and Policy. These changes were endorsed in March by the Faculty Council and were approved by Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber in April. These changes will be reflected in the 2024-25 catalogs.
