Science Building
Interior and exterior work on the $101 million Science Building is nearing completion. The Science Building will serve the University’s need for updated laboratories for science education. The facility will include STEM interdisciplinary instructional and research spaces, with research, office and workspaces for chemistry, biology and physics.

UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
A grand opening date has been targeted for late March 2021 for the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Interior and exterior work continues and construction is scheduled to be finished this winter. For nearly 30 years, UNC Charlotte leaders have envisioned opening a conference center and hotel on the University campus. UNC Charlotte’s exponential growth, coupled with light rail’s arrival and a burgeoning University City, marks now as the time to realize that vision.
