Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs Elizabeth A. (Beth) Hardin has decided to resign effective Feb. 28.

Since 2006, Hardin has served as the chief financial and business officer overseeing fiscal management, facilities development and operations, human resources, public safety and emergency response, technical operations and planning and auxiliary services. Hardin joined the University in 1995 as associate vice chancellor for Business Affairs and has also served as acting executive director of the Charlotte Research Institute and special assistant to the chancellor.

"On behalf of the University, I thank Beth for her many years of service, commitment and leadership that has helped UNC Charlotte become the premier public research institution it is today," said Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber.

In the interim, Vice Chancellor for Institutional Integrity Jesh Humphrey will also lead the Business Affairs division.

"I’m very grateful for the hard work and dedication of the Business Affairs team, especially during the pandemic, and I am confident they will continue to do outstanding work during this transition period," said Gaber.
