The 2022 election season is underway, with election day Tuesday, Nov. 8. In-person early voting is underway in the Cone University Center, Room 111. Use the resources below to prepare to vote in the midterm election.
In-person early voting
Thursday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 5, Cone University Center, Room 111
Students, faculty, staff and members of the public who are already registered to vote in Mecklenburg County can cast their ballots. In addition, during the early voting period, Mecklenburg County residents can register to vote or update their address and vote on site. Early voting hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m.

Vote.Edu Q&A Event
Wednesday, Oct. 26, 5:30 to 7 p.m., CHHS, Room 376
Vote.Edu is designed to provide a safe and educational space for students to ask questions about the voting process, and to learn why the midterm elections are so important. Students can come and get answers to specific, and potentially sensitive, questions one on one, while also learning about voting resources they can utilize outside of this event. Students can receive a t-shirt for attending.

For eligible voters planning to vote in North Carolina but outside Mecklenburg County, voting information can be located on the North Carolina State Board of Elections website.
49er Democracy Experience
For the UNC Charlotte community, the 49er Democracy Experience offers a dynamic, nonpartisan platform for learning about and engaging in civic life. The 49er Democracy Experience involves students in local, state and national elections through voter registration, voter education and voter mobilization. It is made up of a committee of stakeholders from across campus whose members develop the University’s strategic approach to campus wide student voting initiatives
