Why did you choose UNC Charlotte?
After touring various colleges that offered the programs I was interested in, Charlotte stood out to me the most. My immediate impression was how manicured the landscape was, and I figured if they cared this much about their grass, then they’ll definitely take care of their students.
What (or where) is your favorite part of campus?
When I’m not at my apartment or in class, I’m at UREC. Best gym I’ve ever stood in — 30,000-plus-square-feet of gym equipment. I couldn’t be happier.
Where is your favorite place to eat on campus and what do you get?
My favorite food group is Bojangles, so I love that they have one at the union.
What do you like to do when you aren't studying?
When I’m not studying, I’m working/working out at UREC or hanging out with friends.
What's a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I love movies, my top three (in no particular order) are “Fight Club,” “Pursuit of Happiness” and the Rocky movies.
What’s your favorite part about being a trainer at UREC?
I love getting to know my clients and seeing results! There’s no better feeling than helping someone reach their goals.
What is something about UREC that people might not know about?
Many people are surprised that we offer workout plans. It’s called “workouts to go,” and you meet with a certified personal trainer to develop a workout plan that caters to your goals. A lot of people want to get in the gym but don’t know where to start. This is a great way to do that!
