What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I like digging through data and finding ways to make it organized. Being able to work with data and seeing the relationship between the different areas of sustainability helps us to understand our progress and how we can continue to improve. I like knowing that the work I do helps make a positive change.

How can the campus community help achieve the University's sustainability goals and why is it important?

They can help on a collective and individual scale by helping to shift campus culture. There are many different opportunities to get involved, whether it’s volunteering, taking a class in sustainability, joining a club or being on a committee. Helping to achieve sustainability goals is important, not just for the University, but for the community as well to support equality, the environment and our future.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

I like walking around the Botanical Gardens.

What are three words to describe UNC Charlotte?

Three words to describe UNC Charlotte are dynamic, collaborative and potential.

What do you like to do when you aren't working?

I like cooking and learning new skills. Lately I’ve been learning to sew, make candles and refinish old furniture.

What's a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I come from a pretty large family with six older siblings and six younger siblings.
