Dig DEEP faculty professional development series, Aug. 8-10
Dig DEEP (Dialogue, Education, Engagement and Practice), sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Provost’s Office, the Career Center and ADVANCE-FADO, is a series of professional development workshops to be held Aug. 8-10 for faculty who want to grow in their Inclusive Excellence content, curriculum, communication and pedagogy.
Inclusive Excellence is a framework designed to integrate diversity, equity and educational quality efforts into institutional missions and institutional operations as a shared responsibility among all members. The Dig DEEP series allows faculty to work in a professional learning setting to expand their knowledge base and improve their instruction with frameworks, best practices and toolkits.
Dig DEEP will allow faculty to learn from facilitators and one another, with additional opportunities to practice during the session. Sessions are approximately two and a half hours, with time to learn, ask questions and work. The goal for each session is for faculty to see how they can put what they learn into practice in their courses. At the end of the three-day series, faculty will have products that can be used in upcoming course(s).
All faculty are invited to self-register. The campus location for Dig DEEP is CHHS from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Register by July 28.
