Resilience Reimagined: A fireside chat with Demond Martin ’97 and Jay Williams
Join Demond Martin ‘97, co-founder and CEO of WellWithAll, and Jay Williams, chairman/co-founder of Improbable Media and ESPN host, for an inspirational fireside chat on mental wellness, resilience and overall well-being. They will share their experiences and skills they developed to overcome setbacks and life lessons. This conversation is rooted in how they have reimagined their journeys to pursue their purpose and thrive to inspire your future paths.
The event is open to all students, and will occur from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, April 18, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. Doors will open at 10:45 a.m., and attendees can enjoy giveaways and lite bites.

About Demond Martin ’97
Investor and philanthropist, Demond Martin is the co-founder and CEO of WellWithAll, an innovative health and wellness company that pours a significant portion of its profits into health equity for Black, Brown and underserved communities. Prior to that, Demond was a senior partner at Adage Capital Management where he invested in the consumer sector for 22 years. Demond joined Adage after graduating from Harvard Business School and received his undergraduate degree in accounting from UNC Charlotte (‘97). He subsequently worked as the assistant to President Clinton’s White House Chief of Staff, Erskine Bowles. Through their family foundation, Demond and his wife Kia focus on erasing gaps created by racial and social injustice in the areas of education and healthcare. Demond has served on a number of non-profit boards including as a trustee at the Berklee College of Music, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Grammy Global Venture Board and the Obama Foundation.
About Jay Williams
Jay Williams serves as chairman at Improbable Media, a company he co-founded alongside NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Improbable Media harnesses the power of content and storytelling to support elite talent and brands in developing and expanding their ecosystem.
