Excellence in Leadership Awards

Join us for the eighth annual Excellence in Leadership Awards, sponsored by the Black Alumni Chapter, as we recognize the accomplishments of UNC Charlotte alumni and friends who have achieved excellence in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, financial services, health care, philanthropy, public service and STEM. Join fellow 49ers for fun, food and community at the Homecoming Block Party. Enjoy live music, food trucks and entertainment on the Star Quad next to Atkins Library. Beer and wine will be available for individuals 21 and older.

Stroll Competition

Join the historically African-American fraternities and sororities in their annual Homecoming Stroll Competition. Watch as these groups give it their all as they represent their organizations through strolling and dance. Purchase tickets here.

Oktoberfest and Alumni Tailgate Village

Hauser Alumni Pavilion

A popular event is back for its fifth year: 49er Oktoberfest! As part of a special extended Alumni Tailgate Village, the Alumni Association has lined up your favorite local and regional brewers to serve their latest and greatest. Admission is included with cost of adult tailgate and includes delicious game-day themed food stations, open bar with a variety of beer and wine selections, water and ice-cold soft drinks, brewery samples, music and family-friendly games and more. Register here before the early-bird deadline on Monday, Oct. 8.

49ers vs. Western Kentucky Football Game

Saturday, Oct. 13, 3:30 p.m.
Jerry Richardson Stadium

Wear green and white and cheer your Charlotte 49ers to victory as they take on Western Kentucky. Alumni tickets are in Section 112-114. Purchase tickets here.

Black Alumni After Party

Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Stat’s Bar and Restaurant

The Black Alumni Chapter’s After Party is a Homecoming tradition! Join us for a late night of entertainment at Stat’s Bar and Restaurant with DJ, food, drinks and mingling with fellow 49er alumni. Register here.
