  12. Thousands come to campus for the 40th annual International Festival.
  13. The University dedicates the Vickie and Gene Johnson Band Center.
  14. Robert Niblock donates $2.5M to the Student Center for Professional Development.
  15. First Ward Park, adjacent to UNC Charlotte's Center City Building, is dedicated.
