This year’s Charlotte 49ers football spring game will look slightly different than in the past—that is, it will be at night, thanks to the addition of some pretty spectacular and towering stadium lights. During the final weeks of March, installation of eight sports lighting poles, some standing 150 feet tall and weighing more than 18,000 pounds, was completed. Click here to see the installation.
Fans will first experience the stadium enhancements at the annual spring Green and White Game on April 18, beginning at 6 p.m. in Jerry Richardson Stadium. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
The Alumni Association will be out in full force prior to the game, providing a tailgate experience that features a DJ, kids entertainment, as well as a buffet and open bar. The tent opens at 3:30 p.m. Register online.
