- Registration for the virtual 2021 Undergraduate Research Conference opens Jan. 25, 2021.
- Now through Jan. 4, the 49er Card office will only be open for in-person appointments Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m - 5 p.m.

- 2020 International Education Faculty Award: Erik Byker, associate professor, Department of Reading and Elementary Education, Cato College of Education, won for his outstanding contributions to the enhancement of the international education experience.
- Harris a Wuerffel Trophy semifinalist: Charlotte 49ers football team captain Tyriq Harris named one of 9 semifinalists for the award, which recognizes community service with athletic and academic achievement.

- UNC Charlotte MPA alumna Phin Xaypangna named Ventura County’s (CA) first diversity, equity and inclusion officer.
- UNC Charlotte MA History alumna Tiffany Packer named Florida A&M University's Teacher of the Year.
