As part of National Volunteer Week, Facilities Management partnered with Niner University Elementary to develop a student garden on the school’s campus — giving students a great opportunity for "hands-on science."

Niner Nation truly is wherever you are! Employee gifts: 1620. $44,000 raised for University priorities. 2,833 gifts under $49. 51 scholarships supported. 2,239 alumni gifts. 5,582 total gifts. Gift furthest from campus: Tokyo, Japan. Winner of the Battle of the Units: Student Affairs with 1,239 gifts. Gifts from 48 states and D.C. 1,188 student gifts. $11,761 raised by students x5 = $58,805 towards scholarships and student and college programs (thanks to a generous alumni donor, student contributions were matched 5 to 1).

  • UREC wins outstanding facility award: The University Recreation Center, which opened in January 2020, was recently named a 2021 Outstanding Facility by NIRSA, a leader in higher education and advocate for the advancement of recreation, sport and well-being.
