Michele Randolph's inspiring journey
After years of hardships and perseverence, Michele Randolph recently graduated from UNC Charlotte with degrees in History and Africana Studies. It was her second trip across the UNC Charlotte commencement stage. This time—thanks to the cochlear implants that she received in 2018—she could hear the applause as she accepted her diploma.

- Knight wins C-USA Player and Newcomer of the Year, Woodard is Coach of the Year: Charlotte baseball’s Austin Knight won Conference USA’s Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors while Head Coach Robert Woodard took home the Keith LeClair Head Coach of the Year as 16th-ranked Charlotte baseball won 11 All-Conference awards.

- 5/27: Learn to become your own plant diagnostician! Insects can cause tremendous damage to plants and quickly take over — or they can be our helpers and clean the pests away. Director of the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens Jeff Gillman will teach you the insects that are culprits and what to do about them.
- 5/27: Visit the Popp Martin Student Union Art Gallery to view “Charlotte Strong: Tragedy and Response.” This showcase focuses on the strength of Niner Nation surrounding the events of April 30, 2019. This exhibit can be viewed daily through May 28, from noon to 6 p.m.
