UNC Charlotte receives 2021 Excellence in Innovation Award from AASCU
On Monday, Nov. 8, Charlotte was formally recognized by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) with its 2021 Excellence and Innovation Award for Campus Pandemic Response during a ceremony held in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Associate Vice Chancellor for Safety and Security John Bogdan and Director of Emergency Management Chris Gonyar accepted the award on behalf of Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber and the University.

Campus booster clinics
In partnership with VaxVan, UNC Charlotte will offer a vaccine booster clinic for those employees and students who qualify on Thursday, Nov. 11, and Friday Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at SoVi. Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available. Please register as soon as possible since supplies are limited. For more information, visit the Niner Nation Cares website.

- The Teaching Strategies from TOP Teachers: The Teachers Observing Peers (TOP) program provides Charlotte faculty members with an opportunity to observe peers representing a variety of disciplines implementing interactive methods in a live classroom setting and online courses that exemplify diverse types of online course design. Whether you are an instructor using interactive methods for years or trying to get ready to teach your first class, you are likely to benefit from the observation by getting new ideas for effective practice and reflecting on your own practice.

- 11/12: The School of Architecture's 50th Anniversary Lecture Series celebrates the school’s vision during its 50-year history and into the future. Throughout the fall and spring semesters, renowned practitioners and scholars will explore historical developments in architecture since the school’s inception and examine current and future trends in the discipline.
- 11/13: Watch the UNC Charlotte round robin women's rugby tournament.
- 11/15: The Department of Music presents the Gospel Choir in concert. Admission is free.
