Niner veterans, thank you for your service
UNC Charlotte’s forerunner, the Charlotte Center of the University of North Carolina, was founded Sept. 23, 1946. Following World War II, returning veterans increasingly sought greater opportunities for higher education. UNC Charlotte is a testament to the pioneering spirit of these dedicated veterans and their champion, Miss Bonnie Cone. Thank you to all of our Niner veterans. Happy Veterans Day!
Every Friday we will introduce a Niner. Have a suggestion on who we should highlight next? Email us at ninerinsider.uncc.edu.
