  • On Sept. 30, Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber and Provost Joan F. Lorden announced the University will undertake a review of the organization of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS). The review will ensure the University is appropriately structured to support the goals of the new strategic plan and enable continued excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.     Mitigation Testing

    Due to the shortened week for Thanksgiving, students, faculty and staff are not required to participate in mitigation testing next week, Nov. 22-26. Testing requirements will continue through this current week and will resume, as normal, Monday, Nov. 29.

    YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: FACULTY & STAFF

    • On Tuesday, Nov. 23, and Monday, Nov. 29, NCFlex will host webinars discussing the Group Term Life plan offered through Voya Financial. Topics will include defining term life insurance and how long it can continue, who can be covered and the extra benefits. Register for one of the webinars today.
    • Faculty planning research opportunities for undergraduate students in summer 2022 should submit proposals to the Office of Undergraduate Research by Monday, Nov. 22. Summer research includes disciplines from all colleges, and can be in-person, remote or hybrid. Meaningful research experiences give Niner undergrads a leg up for graduate school and next-level research; be part of this opportunity that differentiates UNC Charlotte from many other institutions.
