Meet Charlotte’s inaugural Homecoming Golden Niner
Ryen Boleware, a senior criminal justice and psychology major, is this year’s inaugural Homecoming Golden Niner. She is chief justice of the Student Government Association, co-captain of the Charlotte cheerleaders, part of the Leadership Education And Development (LEAD) team and serves as vice president of Delta Sigma Theta. Learn more about Boleware’s time at UNC Charlotte, her experience in the Niner 9 and her advice for Niner Nation.

- Please note that masks are required and a clear bag policy will be enforced at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center for all Fall Commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 17, and Saturday, Dec. 18.
- A team of enrollment management and academic advising staff have collaborated, in conjunction with OneIT, to create a streamlined Appeal Tool to provide undergraduate students with a user-friendly portal to submit appeals. In May, the team launched the Financial Aid SAP Appeal. Later this month, the Academic Suspension Appeal will be added. Additional appeal types will be considered for future inclusion.

Winter break exit testing
Exit testing for winter break is being offered now through Thursday, Dec. 16. Registration is available here using the mitigation testing form. All employees and students, regardless of vaccination status, are welcome to take part in this free exit testing.

- 12/9: Join by the fireplace with your fuzzy socks and hot cocoa for the first-ever Holiday Extravaganza! Make gingerbread houses, watch classic holiday movies, participate in holiday karaoke and an ugly sweater contest and enjoy open mic holiday-themed poetry readings. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.
