Throughout February, there will be guest speakers, webinars, in-person events and other special opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the community to honor Black history, leaders and points of pride.

COVID-19 Information
Mitigation Testing
The University is continuing to conduct ongoing COVID-19 mitigation testing for those who are vaccinated and eligible for a booster but have not received one, and for unvaccinated nonresidential students, faculty and staff. If you have not scheduled your mitigation test for the current week, Feb. 6-11, please do so now.

YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: FACULTY & STAFF
- Attend the “Intensify Your Large Class: Large Class Space Mapping” workshop Wednesday, Feb. 9. This guided workshop will cover the following topics about managing classroom space (face-to-face, online and blended) in large courses. Attendees will work in groups, guided by a facilitator, to plan how to best utilize “spaces” in their large class.
- Graduate School Admissions will host a virtual information session at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, on the graduate application process and to answer questions from faculty and staff. The Tuition Waiver program is available to employees who are in permanent positions and regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more each week, nine months of the year or longer.
YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: STUDENTS
- The DegreeWorks dashboard will be unavailable between 8 a.m. and noon, Saturday, Feb. 12, as teams upgrade it to a more modern, mobile-responsive interface.
- Tuesday, Feb. 8, is the last day to return textbooks to Barnes and Noble Charlotte with add/drop slip and receipt.
