Booster Clinic
In partnership with VaxVan, UNC Charlotte will offer an on-campus vaccine booster clinic for employees and students on Thursday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at SoVi. Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available. Please register as soon as possible since appointments are limited.

- The Office of OneIT has named new permanent executive directors of IT for two unit-specific service lines. Since Feb. 9, Brandon DeLeeuw has spearheaded academic affairs IT support and Michael Moore has led IT support for colleges.

- Explore the Fulbright U.S. Student Program to learn more about grants and opportunities available for students and young professionals in international graduate studies, advanced research, university teaching and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide. The program currently awards approximately 2,000 grants annually in all fields of study and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.
The Dean of Students Office is seeking nominations for the following awards: Bonnie Cone Leadership Award, Noble Niner Award, Chuck Lynch Award and the Chancellor's Citations for Leadership and Service. Applications close Sunday, March 20.

MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
Governor Roy Cooper recognized Abi Olykeye, Sen. DeAndrea Salvador ‘13 and Desmond Wiggan as North Carolina’s African American leaders and organizations in science, technology, engineering and math for their critical work.
Criminal justice professor Joe Kuhns discussed technology used by CMPD to gather evidence in criminal investigations.
EVENTS
- 2/16: Boardwalk Billy’s will hold a proceeds night for UNC Charlotte Army ROTC, 49er Battalion. Write “UNCC Army ROTC” on your itemized receipt when checking out, and ROTC receives 15% of all purchases!
- 2/17: The Venture for America Panel will dive into entrepreneurial thinking, entrepreneurship, social ventures and the impact Venture for America fellows are making in their communities.
