Virtual keynote with labor and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta
Dolores Huerta, influential labor activist and a leader of the Chicano civil rights movement, will address how Latinx and Hispanic communities heal and thrive while navigating the multiple pandemics of COVID-19 and ongoing hate-based violence Tuesday, March 22, at 6 p.m. Students are invited to the screening of the documentary "Dolores" today, Monday, March 21. Leak earns national honor for special 'twin pandemic' issue of AAUA Journal: Jeffrey Leak, professor of English and director of the American Studies Program, is among the recipients of a new American Association of University Administrators award for a special issue of the Journal of Higher Education Management that focuses on the twin pandemics of COVID-19 and racial justice and equity.
