Former SoVi cook turned business owner brings new laundry service to campus

The WashRoom Laundry Services was started in Charlotte in 2016 by founder and COO Saichell McNeill, who created the business while she was working in SoVi. In partnership with Auxiliary Services, McNeill is now serving a campus she loves in a whole new way.

  • UNC Charlotte brought together two national leaders, Gov. Jeb Bush and Secretary Janet Napolitano, for the 11th annual Chancellor’s Speaker Series. Both leaders emphasized the essential role public universities, like Charlotte, play in providing opportunities for students and success for communities.

    • 49 employees nominated for Staff Employee of the Year: The Human Resources Department received 40 nominations for the 2022 Staff Employee of the Year Award, a record number nominated in the categories of devotion to duty, human relations, innovation and community/public service. For this year, a total of 49 staff members are nominated either individually or as members of teams.
