Provost recognizes Basinger, McCarter and UCAE for excellence: The Office of Academic Affairs recently recognized faculty and an academic unit for exemplary work in the areas of teaching and civic engagement at the annual Provost’s Awards reception. These areas are vital to UNC Charlotte’s mission to educate and prepare students for chosen careers and to address community needs in the greater Charlotte region.

- 4/5: The Student Health Center is now offering Basic Life Support and CPR training through the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross Association.
- 4/11: Rana Foroohar, global business columnist and associate editor at the Financial Times and global economic analyst at CNN, will deliver the annual TIAA Lecture, “Big Tech, the Global Economy, and the Future of Work,” at 3:30 p.m. in Cone University Center, McKnight Hall. Cynthia Bush, lecturer in the Belk College of Business, will moderate the discussion. Students, faculty and staff are asked to register for the event.
- 4/12: Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to the Spring LGBTQ+ Cookout on Tuesday, April 12, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hauser Alumni Pavilion. Enjoy food, games, drawings for prizes and music. This event is sponsored by the LGBTQ+ Staff and Faculty Caucus with support from the Office of Identity, Equity and Engagement, Housing and Residence Life, LGBTQ+ Graduate Coalition and Alumni Affairs.
