Chancellor Gaber Kicks off #NinerNationGives

- Our seventh annual #NinerNationGives is here! The University's 49 hours of giving starts today, Tuesday, April 5, through Thursday, April 7, as Niner Nation comes together to make a difference for our students and campus.
- 4/5: 49er Beer Release at Cabarrus Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m. (non-alcoholic beverages available)
- 4/6: The Big Student Event at CHHS/CoEd Quad and EPIC lobby from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- 4/6: Charlotte Regional Event at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts from 5:30 to 8 p.m. (non-alcoholic beverages available)
- 4/7: The Big Student Event at Belk Plaza from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- 4/7: Balloon Drop/Countdown at 1:30 p.m. Rain location: Harris Alumni Center
Two new scholarships support student success and opportunity
Two new scholarships will support access and opportunity for Niners while honoring Chancellor Gaber and Provost Lorden:
- The Sharon L. Gaber Student Success Scholarship Fund is a need-based scholarship will open doors of opportunity for students.
- The Joan Lorden Graduate Opportunity Fund is being established in honor of her retirement later this year after over 19 years of service to our University. The fellowship will be available to students undertaking any course of graduate study who have demonstrated financial need and academic excellence.
