- Niles F. Sorensen, vice chancellor for the Division of University Advancement and president of the UNC Charlotte Foundation since 2006, will retire in December 2022.

Students build play structure for neighborhood park: A group of architecture students, under the direction of Associate Professor Marc Manack, recently designed and installed a play structure for the Coulwood Hills Neighborhood Park in northwest Charlotte.

EVENTS
- 4/19: The Department of Art & Art History hosts a reception for “Full Disclosure: BFA Exhibition 2022,” an exhibition of work by graduating seniors in 2-D and 3-D disciplines.
- 4/27: Everyone is invited to join the Health and Wellbeing unit for an amplified experience at the Wellbeing Block Party and Awareness Seminar. The seminar will allow students to engage with various facets of well-being through activities, giveaways and speakers.
- 4/29: Historians, environmental scientists, urban designers and planners will discuss implications of urban growth and potential futures at Comprehending Charlotte, a symposium co-sponsored by the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.
