    YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: FACULTY & STAFF

    • Faculty and staff Employee Assistance Program (EAP) sessions will be held during Day of Remembrance activities Friday, April 29. All employees are welcome, and registration is required.
    • Guidance for campus departments on booking hotel rooms and events at UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is available on the financial services website.
    • Attend the “HyFlex Teaching and Learning: Sensory Learning in the Classroom” workshop Tuesday, April 26. How do we actively engage the senses of the students so they process the lecture more effectively? This workshop is delivered in a HyFlex modality and participants can choose to join in-person or online.

    YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: STUDENTS 

    • Reload your Optional Dining Account and earn free food! Add $350 or more to your card and receive a free Chick-fil-A sandwich per week for the entire fall 2022 semester. You will receive additional details via email on redeeming your free sandwiches from our UNC Charlotte Chick-fil-A location.
    • The ROTC program will conduct training operations from 6 p.m., Friday, April 22, through noon, Saturday, April 23, in its designated training location near North Deck. During this period, you may see cadets wearing tactical gear, and smoke may be present.

    EVENTS

    • 4/23: Charlotte Kids Fest returns to campus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event will offer more than 50 unique experiences for children up to age 10 in creative and informative activities and live performances.
    • 4/26: “Document Structure Using Ready-Made Formats" is the ninth session of the Universal Design Fast Facts Series presented by the Office of Disability Services. This session addresses how to create a universal design structure for your content, including how to present content using ready-made formats in Word, Canvas and other document platforms.
    • 4/27: The Department of Music presents the Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo in concert.
