UNC Charlotte Professor of History Named Andrew Carnegie Fellow

UNC Charlotte Professor of History Mark Wilson is one of 28 exceptional scholars, journalists and authors chosen as members of the 2022 Class of Andrew Carnegie Fellows. • This year's Day of Remembrance, Friday, April 29, will provide the UNC Charlotte community opportunities to gather and observe the three-year anniversary of the April 30, 2019, campus shooting that took the lives of Riley Howell and Reed Parlier and physically injured four other students. A complete schedule of Day of Remembrance events is on the Niner Nation Remembers website.
  • As COVID-19 becomes more of an endemic than a pandemic in the United States, UNC Charlotte continues to make some changes to campus protocols. The University is no longer requiring masks on Niner Transit in line with federal guidelines. Masks will remain mandatory in the Student Health Center. “We continue to see manageable trends with COVID-19 on campus, which is consistent with trends in Mecklenburg County, the state and country,” said John Bogdan, associate vice chancellor for safety and security.
