Spring commencement bell ringers exemplified 49er spirit

Bell ringers for the 2022 Spring Commencement were Samantha Shefte, Kiran Budhrani and Ryen Boleware; the trio were outstanding student leaders who demonstrated exemplary 49er spirit within organizations, volunteerism and service to others.

  • Road closures are currently underway through tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18. Expect delays and redirected traffic on Craver and Phillips Roads.
  • May is Heat Stress Awareness Month. The Environmental Health & Safety Office would like the campus community to be aware of heat stress warning signs. Extended exposure to heat and high humidity can lead to illness and injury. Make sure you stay hydrated, take a break in the shade and be aware of your body's warning signals.
  • OneIT will be performing disaster recovery testing Friday, May 20, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Off-campus users will be unable to access the main website as well as most campus web services and systems including my.charlotte.edu, Canvas, Gmail, Gcal, Google Drive, the VPN and Zoom. Phone services will not be impacted.
  • REMINDER: OneIT will be upgrading network hardware through Friday, May 20. Many buildings will experience wired, wireless and phone network outages during this time.     • 5/19: John Connaughton, professor of financial economics for the Belk College of Business, will present his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy. The forecast and Q&A will be presented live via Zoom. The forecast, celebrating its 40th anniversary this academic year, is recognized as the leading source of economic information for North Carolina.
