Racing to win: Sydney Prince demonstrated student-designed Formula car
When Sydney Prince, a senior mechanical engineering major, climbed behind the wheel of UNC Charlotte’s Formula-style race car in a recent competition, it was the ultimate driving exam.

During the “Career Meet Up: Getting Started in Your Job Search” session, students will gain insight on getting started with their job search and learn how to create an action plan. Career meetups are 30- to 45-minute small group sessions focused on specific topics led by career coaches or industry professionals. Meetups will be virtual for summer 2022. You’ll have the opportunity to gain information, ask questions and get some practice. Eight 49ers named to Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list: The Charlotte Business Journal has named eight 49ers, including two research faculty members, to its 40 Under 40 class for 2022. The awards program, which has been a staple in the greater Charlotte region for the past 29 years, recognizes members of the local community who are under the age of 40 and have already made a significant mark in their careers.
