Meet a Niner
Kimberly Barrett is a learning and development specialist for learning and organizational development in human resources. She currently manages the University’s New Employee Orientation and Campus Connection Events for new staff and serves as program manager for the PAC and ASPIRE professional development programs.

- The State Health Plan released an update regarding the third-party administrator switch to Aetna in 2025.
- Each year, students from the Department of Music perform in the Spotlight Concert. Don't miss this year's performance.
- Former Charlotte 49ers All-American Alex Highsmith, a linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was named to the All-AFC team by the Pro Football Writers of America. Highsmith also was voted an alternate for the upcoming NFL Pro Bowl.
- Attend a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training, a national program that teaches participants to respond to someone struggling with distress or suicide ideation. Register now for virtual faculty/staff training on Feb. 2-3.
