  • Celebrate National Walking Day today, April 5, by getting outside and walking for 30 minutes.
  • In honor of Earth Month, tell us your favorite outdoor spot located on campus. You could be featured in a future edition of Niner Insider. 
  • Attend the virtual Active Learning Academy Speaker Series “Learning in Practice: What Makes it Work, and What Gets in the Way?” featuring Robert Talbert, Ph.D., professor of mathematics, Grand Valley State University, Wednesday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to noon. 
  • Take Back the Night, a worldwide movement to inspire action and prevent sexual violence, is Tuesday, April 18.  Sign up here to participate in Charlotte's corresponding event at Cone University Center. The opening reception starts at 4:30 p.m. in the Lucas Room. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. 
  • April is National Financial Literacy Month. As part of this observance, Brad Yeckley, director of Niner Finances, will participate in the panel discussion “Financial Literacy: Banking on our Future” at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6. The Charlotte Business Journal is sponsoring this live event in support of Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas.
