- The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning request for proposals is open with a new focus on curriculum, instruction and technology innovation. The deadline is Sunday, Oct. 1. Enroll in the new SoTL Grant Proposal Writing Course.
- Benefits-eligible employees who are tobacco users can get a head start on open enrollment by attending a tobacco cessation counseling session to earn a lower premium for 2024.
- 49er Mart users are invited to attend a virtual forum Thursday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. Register on the Learning and Development Portal and find discussion topics on the 49er Mart message board.
- The deadline for a 2024 travel grant opportunity for a short-term faculty exchange in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, is Sunday, Oct. 15. For additional information, contact the Office of International Programs.
- Mental Health First Aid training is a national program that teaches skills around responding to someone struggling with distress or suicide ideation. Register now for virtual faculty/staff training Friday, Sept. 8.

- The International Festival returns to campus Saturday, Sept. 23. Register for a booth, to be a dance performer or to participate in the parade of nations by Monday, Aug. 28.
- The “red zone,” which spans the start of the fall semester through Thanksgiving break, statistically, is the timeframe when more than 50% of all college sexual assaults are recorded. Check out the Red Zone Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 24 in the CHHS/CoEd Plaza to learn about the supportive resources available.
- Join Atkins Library Thursday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. for a fun night of trivia. Enjoy free snacks and see if you or your team can walk away with a prize!
