UNC Charlotte Now Among Top 100 Public Universities in U.S.
For the first time, UNC Charlotte has achieved a coveted position among the nation’s top 100 public universities, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best College rankings, which were released today.

- View fall 2023 Curriculog training session dates, along with other important updates in this week’s Academic Affairs Weekly News Digest.
- Graduate program directors and graduate education champions can learn more about new initiatives and opportunities for graduate programs during the Fall Graduate Education Summit Friday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room.
- Teaching certificates and generative AI workshops are offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning.
- Volunteers are needed for the Women + Girls Research Alliance Leadership Cafe Monday, Oct. 2.
Student Announcements
- The Office of Undergraduate Research is accepting student applications for its spring 2024 research scholars program through Sunday, Oct. 15.
- Drop-in hours for the Office of Undergraduate Research are in Barnard Building, Room 109B, Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- UNC Charlotte is a sponsor of the Second Harvest Sort-A-Rama at the Charlotte Convention Center Wednesday, Sept. 27, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are needed to assemble food boxes for Charlotte area families in need. Questions? Email Vicki Doolittle.
- Question, Persuade, Refer is a suicide prevention training that teaches individuals to recognize the warning signs of suicide. The next session is tomorrow, Sept. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Cone University Center, Room 112.

UNC Charlotte’s International Festival is back and better than ever! The University’s longest-running cultural event is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, in and around the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
