  • UNC Charlotte is committed to assisting all members of the campus community in providing for their own safety and security. The annual security and fire safety compliance document, which is required by law, is available on the UNC Charlotte Police and Public Safety Department website . If you would like to receive the combined annual Security and Fire Safety Report, which contains this information, you can stop by the PPS Department at 9151 Cameron Blvd., or you can request a copy be mailed by calling 704-687-8300. The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, fire safety, University police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. Information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or on property owned or controlled by the University and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus, also is included.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • During October, the Center for Wellness Program, in observance of Relationship Violence Awareness Month, will host a variety of programs and events. Students can learn about healthy relationships and support strategies for someone experiencing an abusive relationship.

  • On Wednesday, Oct. 4, join the Department of Languages and Culture Studies and Area 49 in Atkins Library for a panel exploring the Latinx Muralismo scene in Charlotte and the experience of being a Latinx artist in the Queen City. The panel is from 11:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and the workshop is from 4 to 5:15 p.m.

The Office of International Programs hosted the International Festival last weekend; more than 13,000 people of all ages and backgrounds enjoyed performances, tried authentic foods and became immersed in different cultures.
