The monthly First Gen Niners support group is a welcoming space for conversation among first-generation college students about various aspects of navigating academics, family and life at UNC Charlotte with others who “get it.” The next meeting is Thursday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. in the CAPS Building.

Question, Persuade, Refer is a 90-minute suicide prevention training that teaches individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, including verbal, behavioral and situational clues. The next QPR training is from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8.
