• The Office of International Programs invites you to learn about targeted Fulbright opportunities from Julie Taylor, academic director of the Fulbright program, at campus interest sessions Thursday, Nov. 9, and Friday, Nov. 10. 
• As a part of a multicultural event series called Catalyst, come to a student-led showcase of Afro-Caribbean culture today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Noda Brewing. Vendors include Chaconia Food Truck, Boom Charlotte and We Family Entertainment.

• Atkins Library presents an "Atkins Out Loud" program Wednesday, Nov. 8, featuring dance students of Marissa Nesbit in an improvised and interactive performance.
• Julie Taylor, academic director of the Fulbright program, will visit campus and speak about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program Grant and strategies for submitting a more competitive application at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, in CHHS, Room 207.

Amy Wartham, director of corporate and custom training, recently received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the category of human relations. This is the highest honor a state employee may receive for dedicated service to the State of North Carolina and its residents.
