Human resources is accepting nominations for the 2024 Staff Employee of the Year awards in the following categories: devotion to duty, innovation, human relations, community and public service and safety and heroism. FACULTY & STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS 

  • The second AI Institute for Smarter Learning will be held Wednesday, May 15. The call for proposals is through Friday, March 8.
  • Plan to celebrate Black History Month throughout February with a series of events and activities. Visit the Homage Exhibit, a traveling Black and African American History Museum, today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. The exhibit highlights the history of Black individuals in the military. 
  • Reservations are available at the Harris Alumni Center for February or spring events. See how this state-of-the-art facility is perfect for board meetings, parties and more.

     

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • It's not too late to submit your applications for summer faculty-led study abroad programs. Some deadlines have been extended, so please apply now!
  • The Mental Health Peer Educators are a group of diverse undergraduate and graduate students who support the mission of CAPS by assisting with outreach and community engagement. Applications to join the fall 2024 peer educator team are open through Thursday, Feb. 29.

 

ATTEND AN UPCOMING EVENT

  • Join Venture Outdoor Leadership for a day of rock climbing at Rocky Face Mountain Recreation Area Saturday, Feb. 10. The trip is designed for beginning rock climbers. Register by noon, Wednesday, Feb. 7.
