  • Tomorrow is 4/9 Day! Celebrate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Charlotte with discounts, snacks, games and giveaways! Wear green to show your Niner pride!
  • The campus community is invited to attend the public presentation for the third finalist for the dean of the Belk College of Business. The BCOB dean search webpage and candidate evaluation form will be updated by 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 9.
  • Register for a webinar about the NC 401(k) and 457 savings programs available to state employees from 4 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, or noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 18.
  • The Distinguished Scholar Series continues with “Reimagining Leadership: Science-based Solutions to a More Equitable Future,” featuring professors Janaki Gooty and Jill Yavorsky at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, McKnight Hall,  Cone University Center.
  • The 2024 Undergraduate Research Conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 12, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. View presentations on Symposium ForagerOne and join us in-person to talk to students and faculty about their research!

Digital production librarian Rodney Freeman Jr. spends the workday archiving photos, films, documents and other materials that are within the collections of UNC Charlotte’s Atkins Library. In his free time, he is pursuing a passion project that tells the story of Black librarians.

Swipe Out Hunger

Today, Monday, April 8, is the day to Swipe Out Hunger in celebration of Niner Nation Gives. Donate up to two meal swipes to students in need from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sovi or Social 704. Swipes can also be donated by visiting the mobile ordering app.

  • In an effort to remain current with industry trends and technology, the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology will be renamed the Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, effective fall 2024.


ATTEND AN UPCOMING EVENT

  • The Distinguished Scholar Series continues with “Reimagining Leadership: Science-based Solutions to a more Equitable Future,” featuring professors Janaki Gooty and Jill Yavorsky at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, McKnight Hall, Cone University Center.
  • The Education Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, April 12, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Sixty-eight school districts are recruiting teachers in residence and non-education majors can apply! More than 110 organizations including schools, nonprofits and graduate programs will be presented at the event.
  • Register for Student Garden Day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 12, and help repair, rejuvenate and plant the volunteer garden areas on campus.
  • The 2024 Undergraduate Research Conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 12, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. View presentations on Symposium ForagerOne and join us in-person to talk to students and faculty about their research!
  • Join the Center for Wellness Promotion at 5 p.m., Monday, April 15, in the Cone University Center, McKnight Hall, for Take Back the Night, an annual, worldwide event with the initiative to stop sexual violence and create a supportive community for survivors and individuals impacted by sexual violence.
  • The Office of Identity, Equity, and Engagement’s annual celebration of LGBTQ+ and allied graduating students will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, in the Popp Martin Student Union. Please register by Friday, April 12.
