Acclaimed Washington Post reporter to speak at tomorrow's MLK celebration
Dorothy B. Gilliam is the featured speaker for UNC Charlotte’s annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. The MLK Celebration takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 25, and is open to the public. Registration is required for the program, which begins at 3:30 p.m.

- How do we know Green Dot works to prevent violence? Students, staff and faculty are invited to attend a virtual research talk Thursday, Jan. 27, from 9 to 10 a.m. to learn more about the science behind the Green Dot bystander intervention strategy. Anneliese Mennicke, associate professor of Social Work, will present an overview of the research and theory supporting the effectiveness of the Green Dot Strategy and the result of her own CDC-funded K01 research to unpack the mechanisms through which the program works to prevent violence.
