Luis Bayón ’13 is helping shape Charlotte’s strongest bodies. As a yoga instructor, strength trainer and clinical massage therapist, he not only found his passion, he found a way to apply his communication studies degree in a unique way.

- The Charlotte 49ers football program will host its annual Spring Game, Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m. in Jerry Richardson Stadium. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
YOUR DAILY NEED TO KNOW: FACULTY & STAFF
- The Office of Risk Management and Insurance recently modified the requirements for operating a University-sponsored program involving non-student minors. The new requirements address the risks associated with hosting minors in University-sponsored activities and ensure that the University is doing its part to protect minors on campus. Information on the new requirements, including a comprehensive program organizer checklist, is located on the risk management and insurance website.
- Registration is open for the Digital Humanities Collaborative of North Carolina Institute, being hosted by UNC Charlotte, Thursday and Friday, April 21-22. The theme of this hybrid two-day program is "Digital Humanities and the Environment." It begins with a day of virtual presentations, concluding with a virtual plenary session and in-person meetups throughout North Carolina.
- Register for a virtual lunch-and-learn workshop about managing your emotions in the workplace scheduled for noon, Wednesday, April 6.
