Department of Dance to host International Odissi Conference
The UNC Charlotte Department of Dance will present a three-day symposium of dance performances, master classes and scholarly panels on Odissi, an Indian classical dance, Friday to Sunday, May 3-5.

Students help design Levine Museum exhibition
Students in the architectural history class “Museums: Southeast + Beyond” have worked this semester with the Levine Museum of the New South to design and install the exhibition, “The Legacy of Lynching.”
Coming to Charlotte from the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama, the exhibition will open on Wednesday, April 24, and will be displayed through Monday, June 17.

Portuguese guest conductor to lead Wind Ensemble
Simão Francisco from Portugal will be a guest conductor for “An Iberian Celebration,” an evening of Spanish and Portuguese music. This concert will be at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 15, in the Anne R. Belk Theater of Robinson Hall. Tickets are $8.
Art professors win summer residency in Tasmania
Maja Godlewska and Marek Ranis, faculty members in the Department of Art & Art History, are the 2019 University of Tasmania Cradle Coast Campus Artists in Residence. They will travel to Tasmania in May to begin their project, “Landscape: A Place Remembered and Imagined.”
Music Department, CPCC collaborating to present Stravinsky ballet
The UNC Charlotte Percussion Ensemble, joined by the CPCC Dance Theatre and special guests, will present Stravinsky’s ballet, “Les Noces” (“The Wedding”), Monday, April 8.
