Register for the Psychological Safety in the Workplace Webinar for Charlotte Employees

Psychological Safety in the Workplace, part of the virtual 2024 Webinar Series for Charlotte Employees, is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 13.
This webinar is designed to explore the definition of psychological safety, its importance in the workplace, how to foster a psychologically safe attitude and strategies necessary to support it.

UNC Charlotte seeks reaffirmation of Community Engagement Classification from Carnegie Foundation

UNC Charlotte is seeking reaffirmation of its community engagement classification from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. urbanCORE, the hub of the University’s engaged scholarship ecosystem, is leading the reaffirmation process. 
UNC Charlotte earned its original classification in 2008, and it was reaffirmed in 2015. Currently, 368 institutions have received the Carnegie community engagement classification, 18 of those institutions are in North Carolina.

Sweet Couple: Jules Keith-Le and Ngoc Le

Jules Keith-Le is an academic technology support analyst in OneIT, and Ngoc Le is a visual arts specialist in the Office of University Communications. This couple is used to working together. They met 27 years ago while working at a local health food store, the Home Economist (now closed), on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte. Both artists were immediately drawn to each other. 

The couple, who will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary in April, have two children, a son who recently graduated from college, and a daughter who will start high school in the fall.

Sweet Couple: Cam and Rachel George

Cameron and Rachel George met in 2017 when she interned in Charlotte’s Athletic Ticket Office. Like every good love story, the two became really good friends duirng her internship.

Call for nominations for 2024-25 University-wide faculty governance positions

The daculty of UNC Charlotte are charged with the responsibility for making policy decisions regarding the curriculum, academic standards, and the allocation of internal research funds. Also, the faculty are charged with important advisory responsibilities regarding working schedule and conditions, the University budget, facilities planning, administrative appointments and other elements of institutional policy and operation. These responsibilities are conducted through a system of shared governance.
