Verret named associate vice chancellor for finance

Greg Verret has been appointed associate vice chancellor for finance, following a national search. His appointment is effective June 1. Verret had been serving as interim in the role since April 1.

Verret will oversee the controller’s office, treasury services, bursar’s office and materials management.

“Greg is a seasoned financial services leader committed to collaboration, achieving results and customer service,” said Rich Amon, vice chancellor for business affairs. “I know he will continue to be of great value not only to our division, but to the entire campus community.”

Verret has served as director of treasury services since 2017. He began his career at UNC Charlotte in 2012 with prior roles consisting of business process analyst, senior plant fund and reporting accountant, and assistant controller for compliance within the Controller’s Office. Prior to UNC Charlotte, Verret worked for Bank of America Corporation and KPMG.

Verret received a master’s degree in professional accountancy from Louisiana Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana Christian University.
