Faculty/Staff Announcements

  • Reminder: UNC Charlotte’s summer blood drive is happening today, Monday, June 3, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center until 3 p.m.
  • All staff are invited to attend the Chancellor’s staff appreciation event, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18. Please register to attend by Friday, June 7.
  • The University is creating a commercial to show off everything that Charlotte has to offer, and we are looking for extras! The commercial will be filmed in late June through early July. We are looking for a limited number of faculty and staff to participate. If interested, please email J.D. Angel (jangel4@charlotte.edu) or complete this google form by Friday, June 14
  • Employees have reported receiving emails from David Jones with the subject line, “Invitation: Pension Benefits for UNC Charlotte Employees.” This is not an approved vendor for the University, and employees are advised to not engage with these emails.
  • As the fiscal year winds down, please review the FY2024 spending cutoff deadlines and other year-end reminders.
  • Learn more about Concur for travel and expense terminology and meal policy changes; register for the Concur town halls, which begin next week.
  • EHS compliance training in the Learning and Development Portal will be unavailable Tuesday, June 11, through Wednesday, June 19, due to a vendor upgrade. All other training offerings will be accessible. Complete all “in progress” EHS compliance training before Monday, June 10.

Niner Nation is looking for 30 to 40 extras for the University’s next production, a commercial to show off everything Charlotte. The commercial will be filmed in late June through early July. If you are interested in participating, please email J.D. Angel before Friday, June 14.
