Support student crowdfunding campaigns this spring
This spring, 12 student organizations are seeking crowdfunded contributions to enable them to travel to national competitions, host annual events and enrich their college experience at UNC Charlotte.
From professional development clubs to club sports, the organizations provide an outlet for Charlotte students to connect with fellow Niners and explore passions outside of the classroom. The crowdfunding projects below are spearheaded by student leaders that are committed to improve the quality and reputations of their clubs for themselves and future members.

ski and snowboard club
The Ski and Snowboard Club has competed at the national level for the past four years. Funding will help the current team, which placed top five in the USCSA Southeast region, and future members travel to national competitions in the Western United States.
Men’s ultimate frisbee
The Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Club, better known as the Charlotte Skyrise, is vying for a spot to compete at USA Ultimate national competitions. Donations will fund new frisbees, bid fees and will help defray travel costs.
club softball
Charlotte Club Softball provides a space for students to play softball at a club collegiate level as a part of the National Club Softball Association. The team is fundraising to host two, three-game home series and travel to away series across the Carolinas.
Club Swim
Charlotte Club Swim enables swimmers of all levels to practice and compete. Donations will assist the team dive into the College Club Swimming National Championships.
women’s club rugby
Women’s Club Rugby, which placed top 10 in the Division II College Rugby Championship last year, is fundraising to cover the cost of travel to national and conference tournaments. The club also needs new equipment and gear to improve practice quality.
Women’s Club Field Hockey
Women’s Club Field Hockey is in its fourth year as a club at Charlotte. Donations will contribute to the team’s journey to regional and national championships.
Men’s club basketball
The Charlotte Men’s Club Basketball team is seeking support for travel and competition in tournaments to compete for a spot at regionals and nationals this year.
Women’s flag football
Charlotte Club Flag Football allows women to bond over their spirited love for the game. Donations will help cover club costs and contribute to the growth of the sport at Charlotte.
Latinx Student Union
LatinX Student Union is a LatinX-led organization with its primary mission to unite and empower the LatinX population to serve communities in need. This spring, the organization is hosting its annual gala, and donations will facilitate this formal event.
Pre-pharmacy student association
The Charlotte Pre-Pharmacy Student Association is committed to promoting the field of pharmacy and empowering all pre-health students. The group also is planning a pre-health banquet next spring to connect all pre-health students with seasoned health professionals.
Model UN
Support delegates of the Model UN to enhance their skills in debating, public speaking and writing. Donations will cover travel, hotel and general conference expenses.
sigma tau delta
Sigma Tau Delta is a prestigious international English honor society that seeks to foster literacy. The chapter is seeking support to send six members to present at the Sigma Tau Delta centennial convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
