Belk Plaza design forums scheduled

Public forums to solicit input about the design of the Belk Plaza will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8 and 22, in the Cone University Center Lucas Room. (Note a change in the first forum from previous reports.)

The Belk Plaza Design Committee and LandDesign, a Charlotte-based urban design and landscape architecture, are holding these forums to seek ideas from the campus community about features for the plaza, the site of the former Belk Tower.

A conceptual plan for the plaza will be presented during a public forum at 4 p.m., Monday, April 4, in the Lucas Room.

A final plan will be submitted to the chancellor and the UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees for approval.
