Temporary pedestrian walkway closure at CRI Deck
Through Friday, April 14, the rear pedestrian entrance/exit of the lower level of the CRI Parking Deck will be closed to install a drainage system as part of the Deck Storm Water Improvement project.
Safety fencing and signage have been installed around the area.
Patent policy revised
University Policy 301, Patent Policy, was revised effective March 13. The revision reflects the newly delegated authority of the vice chancellor for research and economic development to appoint members of the University’s Patent Committee.
Temporary closure of North Deck level two entrance
The North Deck’s level two entrance and exit lances will be closed temporarily from 8 a.m., Monday, March 20, through 8 p.m., Friday, April 7, to install new parking access control equipment.
Vehicles will be required to enter and exit level one on the lower northwest corner of the deck. Barricades and signage will be directed, and heavy equipment and construction personnel will be on site.
Pedestrians and vehicles should approach construction zones with caution.
ITS moving S and J drive files
Files on the S and J drives will move to new hardware starting at 10 p.m., Monday, March 27. ITS expects this work to be completed by 6 a.m., March 28. During this move, files will be “read only.”

Chancellor’s Fishing Derby offers family-friendly fun for employees
The inaugural Chancellor’s Fishing Derby is a little more than a week away, but faculty and staff members still have time to register for one of the three sessions being held.
Blue Sphere manager to talk on bioenergy
Beth Anne Clark, a project development manager for Blue Sphere Corp., will present “Opportunities for Growth in the Bioenergy Sector” at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, in EPIC, Room G256, as part of the EPIC Energy Seminar Series.
Clark has 30 years of experience in waste management, recycling and corporate sustainability. She has acted as an advisor for municipal waste to energy projects and has been active in energy efficiency market development.
Gunter needs shared leave
James Gunter with the Housing and Residence Life Office needs shared leave donations.
