Great Decisions to explore ‘China’s Road into Latin America’
Gregory Weeks, associate dean, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, will deliver the fifth talk in the Great Decisions Lecture Series at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, at UNC Charlotte Center City.Weeks will discuss Margaret Myers’ article “China’s Road into Latin America,” focusing on how the Trump administration “continues to withdraw from the world stage, [and how] China is looking to fill the void.”
Atkins Library schedules book sale
The J. Murrey Atkins Library is holding a book sale Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28-29, in the Halton Reading Room.More than 5,000 duplicated and selected items will be on sale, including academic monographs, paperbacks, children’s literature, LPs, DVDs and more.The sale will be open to just the campus community from 9 a.m. to noon, Feb.28. The public is invited from noon to 7 p.m., Feb. 28, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 29
Healy strengthens staff, adding Braithwaite, Bankins
Charlotte 49ers head coach Will Healy has strengthened his football staff with the additions of Adam Braithwaite as linebackers coach and Charles Bankins as special teams coordinator.
Early Voting at Belk Gym
UNC Charlotte is an early voting site for the 2020 primary elections. If you are registered to vote in Mecklenburg County, vote on campus at the Belk Gym during the primary election from Feb. 13-29.
