Halton Arena, official home of the Charlotte 49ers, recently received a glowing review in Stadium Journey with the writer giving the venue 4.3 on a five-star scale.
Brian Wilmer, Stadium Journey’s regional correspondent for the Southeast, praised Halton Arena’s merits strongly in each of seven review categories: food and beverage, atmosphere, neighborhood, fans, access, return on investment and extras. The arena is located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
Wilmer was especially complimentary of the strong sense of history conveyed during UNC Charlotte basketball games. “Despite Charlotte having less than 50 years of basketball, there is still a fairly equal amount of history and potential in the program. With a large campus in a bustling city, a quality program, and an outstanding facility in Halton Arena, it is easy to see why fans and prospects alike should flock here. Once the school regains its winning tradition and gets its football program established, this well-kept secret should be discovered by that many more interested parties.”
