Internship, Part-time Job Fair set for Feb. 8

Monday, January 28, 2013

The University Career Center will host its annual Experiential Learning and Part-Time Job Fair from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, in the Cone University Center Lucas Room.

This event is open to all UNC Charlotte students who are interested in obtaining an internship or co-operative education opportunity, as well as those who are seeking a part-time job for the upcoming summer months. Organizations scheduled to attend include ON24, EMC Corp., Fastenal, Vanguard, Family Dollar Stores and the U.S. National Whitewater Center. An updated list of registered organizations is available online.

Leading up to the fair, the University Career Center will host Internship Week, Feb. 4-8. This week features special programming geared toward students who are seeking internships and who need information on how to prepare for an internship.

A panel of students who have previously completed an internship will share their experience and preparation tips on Wednesday, Feb. 6. A complete list and descriptions of Internship Week programs is online.

The University Career Center encourages faculty members to announce these events to their classes and attend the Experiential Learning Fair to make connections with employer representatives. Students are asked to wear professional attire to the fair and bring resumes for recruiters. Resources and guidelines on dressing to impress are available online.

The Experiential Learning and Part-Time Job Fair is open only to UNC Charlotte students and alumni. Email questions to Rebecca Cody.
